This European Standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of freestanding and built-in domestic cooking appliances burning the combustible gases given in 4.1 according to the categories specified in 4.2, referred to in the text as \"appliances\".This European Standard covers the following types of domestic cooking appliances, as defined in Clause 3, and belonging to the classes defined in 4.3 (see Table 1): independent freestanding hotplates; independent built-in hotplates; independent hotplates and grills; table cookers; freestanding ovens; built-in ovens; freestanding or built-in grills; griddles; freestanding cookers; built-in cookers. Unless specifically excluded hereafter,This European Standard applies to these appliances or their component parts, whether or not the component parts are independent or incorporated into a single appliance, even if the other heating components of the appliance use electrical energy (e. g. combined gas-electric cookers). This European Standard includes requirements covering the electrical safety of equipment incorporated in the appliance that is associated with the use of gas. It does not include requirements covering the electrical safety of electrically-heated component parts or their associated equipment1).This European Standard does not apply to: a) outdoor appliances; b) appliances connected to a combustion products evacuation duct; c) appliances having a pyrolitic gas oven; d) appliances having covered burners which are not in conformity with the constructional requirements of 5.2.8.2.2; e) appliances incorporating flame supervision devices and having an automatic ignition device for which the duration of the ignition attempt is limited by design; f) appliances equipped with a burner that is periodically ignited and extinguished under the control of an automatic on/off device; 1) Refer to the electrical safety rules. g) appliances equipped with an oven and/or with a grill having a fan: 1) either for the supply of combustion air or for the evacuation of the products of combustion; 2) or for the circulation of the products of combustion within the compartments; h) appliances supplied at pressures greater than those defined in 7.; i) appliances having one or more burners that are capable of remote operation (type1 or type 2), unless the burner(s) concerned are thermostatically controlled oven burners of time-controlled ovens that are designed for a delayed start without the user being present; j) appliances incorporating one or more hotplate or grill burners that enable the user to program the cooking cycle, including the start and/or the end of the cycle. This European Standard does not cover the requirements relating to third family gas cylinders, their regulators and their connection. This European Standard only covers type testing.
This European Standard specifies the construction and performance characteristics as well as the requirements and methods of test for the safety and marking of domestic cooking appliances, capable of using the combustrble gases defined in EN 30-1-1-2008+A2-2010.that have one or more burners with an automatic burner control system, referred to in the text as\"appliances\".
This standard gives guidance for identifying and investigating spillage, leakage or build?up of combustion products from gas-fired appliances innon-domestic premises. It gives recommendations for determining thecombustion performance of such equipment, using electronic portablecombustion gas analysers. This involves sampling and measuring thecarbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO
This part of this document specifies the requirements and test methods for charcoal and charcoal briquettes for use in BBQ appliances.
This European Standard specifies requirements relating to the design, manufacture, construction, safety and performance (efficiency and emission), instructions and marking together with associatedtest methods for type testing, residential open fires and inset appliances fired by solid fuel. This standard is applicable to hand fired appliances which are listed under categories 1b, 1c, 2b, 2c,3a, 3b and 3c of Table 1. The surround of the appliances is integrated with the building with theexception of free-standing appliances and inset appliances which are installed into a fireplace recessor enclosure.!This standard also covers ‘Kachel?fen’ and ‘Putz?fen’ inset appliances, having nominal heatoutputs up to 15 kW in accordance with category lc of table 1.\"This standard is not applicable to appliances with fan assisted combustion air. These appliances provide heat into the space where they are installed. Additionally, where fittedwith a boiler, they also provide domestic hot water and/or central heating. They may burn eithersolid mineral fuels, peat briquettes, natural or manufactured wood logs or be multi-fuel inaccordance with the appliance manufacturer's instructions.Open fireplace components such as a bottomgrate with associated firefront which the manufacturersupplies for installation into an existing heat resistant, insulated firebox are not covered by thisstandard.Table 1 - Categorisation of appliances
This European Standard specifies requirements relating to the design, manufacture, construction, safety andperformance (efficiency and emissions), instructions and marking together with associated test methods andtest fuels for type-testing residential space heaters fired by wood pellets, and mechanically fed up to 50 kWnominal heat output. These appliances may be freestanding or inset appliances and provide heat into the space where they areinstalled and may be operated with either natural draught or fan-assisted combustion air. Additionally, wherefitted with a boiler, they also provide domestic hot water and/or central heating. These appliances burn woodpellets only, in accordance with the appliance manufacturer's instructions. They operate with firedoors closedonly.Non mechanically fed appliances burning solid mineral fuels, peat briquettes and natural or manufacturedwood logs are not included in this European Standard, but are covered by EN 13229 and EN 13240.NOTE These appliances may have an integral fuel hopper or be combined with an external fuel hopper.
This European Standard covers multi-firing sauna stoves in which the heating stones are separated from andindirectly heated by the fire and the flue gases and which may be re-fuelled with several fuel loads. This European Standard specifies requirements relating to the design, manufacture, construction, safety andperformance (efficiency and emission) of multi-firing sauna stoves fired by wood logs and provides instructionsfor them. Furthermore, it also gives provisions for evaluation of conformity (i.e. initial type testing (ITT) andfactory production control (FPC) and marking of these products. This standard is applicable to hand-fuelled intermittent burning multi-firing sauna stoves, which provide heat intothe space where they are installed. These multi-firing sauna stoves may be supplied either as an assembled appliance or as a manufacturer’s predesignedunit consisting of pre-fabricated components designed to be built on site in accordance with themanufacturer’s specified assembly instructions. One-off installations are not included. These multi-firing sauna stoves may burn only natural wood logs in accordance with the appliance operatinginstructions.Single-firing heat storage sauna stoves, in which the stones are directly heated by the fire and the flue gases, which pass through them, are not covered by this European Standard. This standard is also not applicable tomechanically fed sauna stoves, sauna stoves having fan assisted combustion air, sauna stoves fitted with aboiler, sauna stoves with incorporated flue or sauna stoves having any electrical connection.
