This European Standard specifies a method for determining the fire resistance of curtain walling systems - full configuration. The test method is applicable to curtain walling type B (for definition see 3.4). The test is not appropriate for testing curtain walling type A (for definition see 3.3). The fire resistance of curtain walling may be determined under internal or external exposure conditions. In the latter case the external fire exposure curve given in EN 1363-2 may be used, subject to deviating national regulations. Tests on individual parts of a curtain walling (e. g. perimeter seal, infill panel or fixing of the framing system (anchoring) used to attach the curtain walling to the floor element) or systems with fire resistance requirements only to the spandrel area may be performed using EN 1364-4. For vertical linear gap seals, this part of the standard applies. This European Standard does not cover double skin fa?ades, over-cladding systems and ventilated fa?ade systems on external walls. It does not deal with the reaction to fire behaviour of curtain walling. This standard is intended to be read in conjunction with EN 1363-1 and EN 1363-2.
This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance of thermal/acoustic insulation composite panels made of an insulating material laminated to gypsum boards for which the main intended use is the internal insulation (thermal and/or acoustic) of walls. They are attached with adhesives or by mechanical fixings to vertical solid backgrounds and by mechanical fixings to wood or metal framing with the gypsum board face exposed. The method of fixing and jointing should ensure that the insulating material is not exposed in its normal application. This European Standard covers the following performance characteristics: reaction to fire, fire resistance, water vapour permeability, flexural strength, impact resistance, direct airborne sound insulation and thermal resistance to be measured according to the corresponding European test methods. It provides for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance of the products to this European Standard. This European Standard covers also additional technical characteristics that are of importance for the use and acceptance of the product by the construction industry.
This European Standard specifies requirements for factory made, self-supporting, double skin metal faced insulating sandwich panels, which are intended for discontinuous laying in the following applications: a) roofs and roof cladding; b) external walls and wall cladding; c) walls (including partitions) and ceilings within the building envelope. The insulating core materials covered by this European Standard are rigid polyurethane, expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene foam, phenolic foam, cellular glass and mineral wool. NOTE Polyurethane (PUR) includes polyisocyanurate (PIR). Panels with edge details that utilise different materials from the main insulating core are included in this European Standard. Panels used in cold store applications are included in this European Standard. Panels, put on the market as a component of a cold storage room, building and/or building envelope kit are covered by ETA-Guideline 021 \"Cold storage premises kits\". This European Standard does not cover the following: i. sandwich panels with a declared thermal conductivity for the insulating core greater than 0,06 W/m·K at 10 °C; ii. products consisting of two or more clearly defined layers of different insulating core materials (multi-layered); iii. panels with perforated facing(s); iv. curved panels.
This European Standard applies to prefabricated walk-in cold room kits and components. It provides test or calculation methods to assess thermal insulation performances under normal end-use conditions. Performance characteristics of walk-in cold rooms are to be assessed in terms of thermal insulating properties, in order to give a basis on which assessing energy consumption related properties of walk-in cold rooms, and of their components. Performance characteristics are to be assessed for every single component of the walk-in cold room, and for the assembled walk-in cold room as a whole. The normal end-use conditions of a walk-in cold room are considered to be: - installation inside an existing building; - not exposed to external weather conditions.
This European Standard specifies the definitions, procedures, criteria and their assessment as well as therespective documentation related to a system of qualification of construction enterprises.
